Ottawa Band One Step Closer to Opening for Bon Jovi
OTTAWA, Ontario – Thanks in large part to the efforts of their dedicated fans, Cherry Suede has advanced to the second round of Bon Jovi’s SuperBAND Tonight contest. Their song “When I’m Gone” finished in the top 20 of the first round, earning Cherry Suede the chance to compete with 19 other bands for a dream gig – opening a show for Bon Jovi in Toronto this July.
“We’re thrilled to have gotten this far,” says Randy Young, guitarist/vocalist for Cherry Suede. “The response has been terrific, and we’re getting a lot of new people visiting our site and downloading our music a result of this contest.”
The second round of the SuperBAND Tonight contest (http://www.bonjovi.com/ourstage) is currently under way. Fans can vote for their favorite song, and the winning band will play an opening slot at a Bon Jovi show in their city. Fans can also get to the contest site by entering to win a free guitar on the Cherry Suede site (http://www.cherrysuede.com/bonjovicontest/). After entering the Cherry Suede contest, users will be redirected to the SuperBAND Tonight site.
