The Riverwalk Blues & Music Fest Debuts to South Florida Canadian Award Winning Guitarist DAVID GOGO

Who is David Gogo? He started playing the Blues on his guitars when he was a teenager and heard Howlin’ Wolf and Son House. Once he discovered Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gogo’s die was cast. In the past 10 years, Gogo has released four records. He’s a perennial nominee in Canada’s Blues Music Awards, the Maples, including copping Canada’s 2005 Blues Guitarist of the Year. He has opened for the likes of Buddy Guy, George Thorogood, Jimmy Vaughan, and Roomful of Blues. And Real Blues magazine named this record, Skeleton Key, the Blues/Rock CD of the Year. Take it from me; this is one record worth owning.

Robert Farrell Band Live – Friday, November 10

Robert Farrell Band Logowww.ZaphodBeeblebrox.com Presents:

ROBERT FARRELL BAND
+ JACKO

Friday, Nov 10, 2006 8:00 PM EST (8:00 PM Doors)
at Zaphod Beeblebrox

Ottawa’s Robert Farrell, described by Billboard Magazine as “arguably the greatest undiscovered guitarist in Canada” is shedding the unknown label fast. With three New Artist Radio (N.A.R.) Awards for “Musician of the Year” (2002 and 2003) and “Male Rock Artist of the Year” (2002), Robert is making his presence felt with fans throughout North America and the rest of the world.

Since starting to play the guitar at age six, Robert has emerged as an artist to be reckoned with. With last September’s release of the all-instrumental Elegant Chaos (2004), Robert has now produced six albums including: Freedom For My Soul (1996), When the Banks of the Mississippi Run Dry (1997), Robert Farrell Express (2000), “Best of” AutoLoader (2002) and Sun House Fury Part I (SHF) (2003).

Selected tracks from all the CDs have received extensive local, and selected national and international radio play. Hug Me Squeeze Me, a cut from Express, hit #1 on the mp3.com blues rock chart twice totalling 5 weeks at the top spot; the track was as high as 23 on the World Top 40 mp3.com chart in the company of such artists as Madonna and R.E.M. This is what close to 120,000 fan downloads on mp3.com alone, have done for Robert Farrell. Those same fans have this to say about Robert: “…heir to the guitar guru throne…MAN YOU SMOKE ON THAT AXE…Competition for Clapton.” Furthermore, showcasing his custom double neck guitar gives Farrell the advantage of playing his unique double slide and lead guitar simultaneously.

Backed by drummer, Andrew Lamarche, and bass player, Stephen Clarke, the robert farrell band (rfb) is creating a buzz as the hottest rock band around. And with Robert’s Elegant Chaos now out, fans know there simply is – no other “genetically engineered guitarist for the 21st century” (Pro Critic Radio).
