David Gogo

Le Petit Chicago, 50 Promenade du Portage
(in the Old Hull sector)
Map

Wednesday, March 31 @ 8 pm

With an opus of 9 albums, deeply into the Blues although arranged sometimes with sophistication and with rock and funky spicing that he breathes into his music mostly through his very personal, tonic and sensitive guitar playing, David Gogo is in the ranks of Canada’s Best Bluesmen. Proof rests with the multitude of nominations, Guitarist of the Year titles from the Maple Blues Awards, three Juno nominations, the Musician of the Year title awarded by the Western Canadian Music Awards and the receipt of CBC’s Saturday Night Blues Great Canadian Blues Award for a lifetime contribution to the Blues in Canada. And he’s now coming from Vancouver, exclusively to celebrate the 6th anniversary of Le Petit Chicago at Virée Blues Boréale.
