We are extremely delighted to acknowledge that Cordova Bay’s, blues guitarist, David Gogo has been once again nominated for a Juno Award. David would like to thank CARAS, the members and nominating committees of the Junos and his fans for the nod of approval and support. He will attend the award show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan this April 1st. His co-nominees are all wonderful musicians and friends, so this is even more of an honour than ususal.

Based on a strong performance in Pittsburgh at the Rex Theatre with Johnny Winter in April and a very well received headline show at Moondog’s last month, David has been added to the line up of the Pittsburgh Blues Festival. He will perform on the main stage on Saturday, July 22 at 6:00 Pm at Hartwood Acres alongside Ana Popovic, Leon Russell, Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin and Willie “Big Eyes” Smith. The festival is an important fundraising event for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and tickets can be purchased by calling 412-488-8800 or on-line.

The response to the U.S. release of “Skeleton Key” continues to be very strong. “Skeleton Key” hit # 2 on the XM Satellite Radio “Bluesville” charts in the U.S. David and the band recorded seven songs live last month at the XM studios in Washington, DC with host Bill Wax. The tracks will be featured live on XM throughout the summer.
