I’ve been a bit slow doing an update the last little while but finally here is what I’ve been up to. We shot a THERMOclinE video a few weeks ago in Toronto for “Vacant Lot”, we should be seeing a final cut in a week or so and then hopefully get it out. Of course I will have a link up to it when it is released so you can see it. There are a few photos from the video shoot up on the THERMO site. THERMO has some upcoming dates in Toronto and Southern Ontario in the next few months.
The Tammy Raybould band has been on a bit of a break from live shows lately, but Tammy is constantly doing solo dates. We have also been working on some of Tammy’s new songs over the last few weeks. Our next Ottawa date was supposed to be Barrymore’s on Nov. 3 has moved to Zaphod’s II on Dec. 8th. We will also be doing some dates in upper NY state in November.
I have also been in the studio recording a few more songs with Robert Farrell and some stuff with Sarah Sedgman.
I went to see KISS at the Corel Centre in Ottawa in September, it was the best show I have seen in a long time, and probably the best KISS show I have seen (I’ve seen them about 5 times over the years). Here’s a scan of the VIP pass I had.
And finally I have also registered andrewlamarche.net so you can get to the site through either the .net or .com address. I Have also moved the site to a new server, so far everything seems to be working fine. Let me know if anything seems wacky.

THERMOclinE will be shooting a video for “Vacant Lot” in Toronto at the end of September, you should hopefully see the finished product sometime in November. And “Negative ONE” will be re-released and distributed by Sour Music/Sony Imports.

Just back from some Tammy Raybould dates, we played last night with Sloan and Dunk in Belleville, after some dates in upper state NY.

I will playing with both THERMOclinE and Tammy Raybould at Barrymore’s Music Hall in Ottawa as part of the Capital Music Conference, both on the same night, June 16th.
I am now using the Sabian Triple Hi-hat, it’s quite cool. I’ve had it for about a month now and I’ve done all my gigs and rehearsals with it. It took a few gigs to get used to it, but it’s cool now, you have to check it out if you haven’t seen it yet.

BANDS ON THE RUN
By Ian Nathanson, Ottawa Sun
WHAT’S UP, DOCS: If a shoe company is looking to sponsor THERMOclinE, it likely won’t be Doc Marten. Seems to be a sore spot — literally — whenever it’s mentioned to guitarist Aaron Kronis or drummer Andrew Lamarche. In Toronto attending Lollapalooza ’97, Kronis, bassist Jason Young and lead singer Graham Machacek were checking out Artifical Joy Club (Lamarche used to be AJC’s drummer). As fans were throwing objects at the band, Lamarche retaliated by hurling a Doc Marten boot into the crowd, inadvertently knocking Kronis unconscious. “The security guards up front brought him forward and had us go with them backstage to the medical tent,” Young explains. “Then we saw Lamarche walk by and went over to talk to him.” When all was sorted out, Lamarche wound up becoming such good pals with THERMOclinE, he would later become a member. THERMOclinE will perform in a non-shoe-throwing zone at Barrymore’s Saturday to honour the release of their full-length debut, Negative One.

Samples from the new THERMOclinE CD are now up on the THERMOsitE.
I finally had a chance to get to the Sabian Cymbals factory in Meductic, New Brunswick, on our way back home from some dates in eastern Canada with Tammy Raybould. It was very cool seeing the whole process of how the cymbals are made, and the amount of work and high quality standards they have.
Tammy’s show at Barrymore’s last week will be televised in May, dates will be on the site when I get details.
March 1, 2000
You can now download MP3 samples from the new THERMOclinE CD “Negative ONE”.
One of the songs, “Adrenaline’s Dead”, is available for download at a few MP3 sites right now. All the links and stuff are on the THERMOsitE.
The CD Release show in Ottawa is set for Saturday, May 6th at Barrymore’s Music Hall.

The new THERMOclinE CD is finally done. It’s being mastered in a week or so, after that there should be some sound clips up on the THERMOsitE. The new CD is called “Negative One” and features 12-tracks and was produced and mixed by Jay Ruston at Distortion Studios.
I also have just updated my live dates, I will be heading out to Eastern Canada with Tammy Raybould in March.

We will be filming a video for Tammy Raybould‘s current single “Loving You” this coming Monday, December 20th. There is an open call for extras for the video shoot.
The video shoot is taking place at the Museum of Science and Technology, 1867 St. Laurent Blvd., Ottawa. Shooting will start at about 7:30 pm.
THERMOclinE is featured on Riffage.com’s “Best of Riffage Collection: Alternative” CD, now on sale. “Riffage has selected some of the best new alternative artists and has put their music onto one great album. The CD features 10 audio tracks and over 20 MP3 tracks that showcase some of the best stuff that Riffage has to offer.”

The THERMOclinE site now has a video clip of “Beautiful Prozac Child” that was just added a few weeks ago.
THERMOclinE is still in the studio trying to get the new album finished, I was in last week doing some electronic overdubs and doing some percussion stuff.
