Quick Update

The Hendrix Tribute was a huge success again this year, a full-house of rowdy music fans. Tony, Trevor and Sean played amazing, who knows maybe we’ll end up doing the gig more than once a year.

Just finished some sessions with Will Webb doing his really good country-rock material, and with Donald Leafloor doing some of his rock-oriented material.

You can catch THERMOclinE on Roger’s Cable 22 in Ottawa on “Front Row Centre” on Sunday, October 3rd and Wednesday, October 6th at 9pm.

And if you were in Toronto earlier this week, and watching TV, I performed on “Daytime” with Tammy Raybould, before our gig that night.

September 4, 1999

I am doing the Jimi Hendrix Tribute show again this year with Tony D. and Trevor Finlay on guitar, and Sean Burke on bass. There will also be a special guest this year again, who has not been announced yet. This is only the second time this has happened, it’s almost turning into an annual thing, and if you missed it last year you have to check it out this year while you can.

THERMOclinE – Featured Artist on riffage.com

THERMOclinE was the featured artist today at riffage.com. The THERMOclinE site has been updated with some new info, and we are heading back in the studio in October to do a full-length CD.

I have just finished some recording with guitarist Robert Farrell and and Boston based singer Cami Gutierrez over the last month.

I’m just off to Toronto for a show with Tammy Raybould at the CNE on Monday.

THERMOclinE

I just added an e-mail form to make it even easier to e-mail me on the Contact page.

Artificial Joy Club is not on tour right now, so I’ve been working out new songs and rehearsing with a new band called THERMOclinE. The THERMOclinE web site has some Real Audio files if you want to hear it.

I will also be doing a gig with Simply Bhangra on September 6^th at the Astrolab Theatre in Ottawa.

You can now access the site at www.andrewlamarche.com, part of the whole revision process, I’m hoping to have the site redone over the next month and a half — but I’ve said that before!

Just finished my parts for some new THERMOclinE songs, which probably won’t be mixed until the end of the month.

I’m also playing with Andrea de Valois for her CD release party at Barrymore’s in Ottawa on July 23rd, her new CD is called “Syren Songs.”

Drum Tracks for Tammy Raybould

I have just finished up the drum tracks for Tammy Raybould’s new CD. I did the drums for 14 songs with Producer Jay Ruston at Distortion Studios here in Ottawa. Check back for more details as Tammy’s new CD nears completion.

In other news, THERMOclinE has been rated as one of 5 Ottawa “Must See” bands in VINES, a Nationally distributed magazine about Canadian Wine and Culture. It was in an article about Traveling to Ottawa for the Summer. The THERMOclinE CD is now available for secure on-line credit card purchase.

More dates have also been added to the gigs page.

Tammy Raybould & THERMOclinE

I will be playing a number of dates with Tammy Raybould, that I have just updated on the gigs page, Tammy’s band includes Andy Graham on bass and Todd Huckabone on guitar, who I have played many gigs with over the past couple of years.

The THERMOclinE web site has also been redone and will soon feature on-line purchasing for our first CD.

Update

And it’s also about time to redo my site, so hopefully in the next two months the site will be given an entire overhaul and I will actually add some stuff that I have wanted to add for a while. So stay tuned!!!!

THERMOclinE Shows

Two more dates have been added for THERMOclinE in January at Lee’s Palace in Toronto and a Canadian Music Week show in March. The date for the march show will be confirmed soon.

The Hoax shows went really well, hopefully I’ll get some pictures from them to put on the site.

The Hoax and THERMOclinE

The gigs page has been updated with some dates that I will be doing British Blues-Rock band The Hoax, their drummer could not get into the country so I’m filling in for the shows. Needless to say I have been going nuts trying to learn a whole bunch of songs in a few short days.

Also on the gigs page a THERMOclinE show for January 7^th at Zaphod’s in Ottawa.

Europe

I just added some festivals that I’ll be playing in July with AJC over in Europe. We actually just got back a couple of weeks ago from some other festival shows over there as well. I actually was able to hang out a bit longer at some, and see some bands. I saw Kenny Aronoff with the Smashing Pumpkins in Holland which was a great show.

I also saw the Deftones, Van Halen, Tori Amos, Bad Religion, Ramstein and a bunch of others.

There is now a clip of our new video, “Spaceman” on the AJC site and we still have “Sick & Beautiful” up as well.

Back from Europe

Artificial Joy Club just finished a promotional tour in Europe where we spent a lot of time doing interviews, TV shows, photo shoots and showcases. We had a lot of fun, and we are back in Europe doing festivals this summer, starting in May and then again in July. Some of the dates are posted on the AJC site, I’ll also put them up here soon. You can also see some pictures from Europe on the AJC site.

We’ve also just finished a video for “Spaceman,” which will be released as the next single off “melt.”

As for myself, I am now playing on Tama Starclassic drums and hardware. I also did a three song CD with an Ottawa based band called THERMOclinE.
