Sultry up and coming Ottawa singer, Becky Abbott opens the show and will unveil her new rock band for their debut performance. Abbott, a member of Juno-nominated blues/rocker David Gogo’s band for the past few years, just returned from touring with Gogo in Europe. The trip included a stop in London, UK to perform a live session for BBC Radio 2 that is set for national broadcast in January. The band had the pleasure of recording the session at the BBC’s famous Maida Vale Studio 3, where such legends as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who and The Rolling Stones have recorded over the years. Becky is also confirmed to do some songwriting for her debut Cd with Tom Wilson (Junkhouse/Blackie & The Rodeo Kings) early in the new year.

European Tour And CD Release In Benelux For Gogo

David Gogo LogoDavid Gogo is in Europe for shows in Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands, September 29 to October 8, 2007. This short tour supports the Dixiefrog Records, September 24 CD release of Vibe in the Benelux (Netherlands & Belgium).

This is Gogo’s first European tour in several years and he’s excited to be playing there again.

Prior to the tour, David and the band made a stop in London, England to record a live, in-studio session for The Paul Jones Show on BBC Radio 2. The session was recorded in Studio 3 at the BBC’s Maida Vale Studios, where The Beatles, Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones and many others have recorded. It will be broadcast nationally in the UK and streamed online in January 2008.

While in Germany, David will record a special live audience acoustic performance with his band for Radio Bremen on October 4th. This show will be broadcast in January 2008 when Dixiefrog will release Vibe to the rest of Europe – slated for January 28th.
